Bus Transportation Positions
The St. Tammany Parish School Board is seeking qualified candidates for bus driver positions. The District provides comprehensive training that meets all Louisiana standards required for licensure. An excellent benefits package is available for full-time drivers. Drivers earn an annual salary of $25,450 plus operational expenses for those who own their bus. We offer the highest daily rate of pay in the state for substitute drivers.

  • Bus Owner/Operators – employee owns/purchases their bus
  • Bus Operators – employee drives a bus owned by STPSB
  • Substitutes – day to day drivers

Cafeteria Personnel
Applications are being accepted for cafeteria personnel. STPPS offers a highly competitive hourly rate of pay for cafeteria personnel, starting at $16+ per hour. Supervisor of Purchasing
The St. Tammany Parish School Board is now accepting applications for a Supervisor of Purchasing.  This is a twelve month (12) month position with a starting salary of $69,281. Minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Degree from an accredited four (4) year college
  • Three (3) years of experience involving purchasing as the major duty
  • One (1) year of this experience must have been in large scale purchasing at a level at least equivalent to Buyer II.
  • Experience as owner or manager of a business purchasing goods for resale may be substitute for required college training on a year-for-year basis
  • Experience involving purchasing as the major duty may be substituted for the required college training on the basis of one (1) year of experience for two (2) years of college
  • College graduation with major work in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or closely related fields may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience
  • Knowledge of Louisiana Public Bid Law preferred
  • Experience in writing bid specifications preferred

The St. Tammany Parish School Board is now accepting applications for Certified Tutors. This is a timesheet position (no more than 20 hours per week). The rate of pay is $25/hour. Candidates must hold valid teaching certification. TRSL retirees may be subject to an earnings limitation.
